About me. International Psychologist Netherlands
Eindhoven, Veldhoven & Online
What has always fascinated me about psychology is that there is usually more beneath the surface of what we see. A reaction that seems confusing may have a history. A relationship pattern that keeps repeating may once have served an important purpose. And behaviours that we judge ourselves for often make more sense when we understand where they came from. At the same time, I have always been drawn to the problem-solving side of psychology. I am also interested in what we can do once we understand it. What can we change? What can we approach differently? What might make things feel more manageable?
Hello, I am Indre, an English and Lithuanian-speaking master psychologist.

Why did I choose psychology?

About me as psychologist
My aim is to offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. In my work, I approach each person with care and curiosity, taking time to listen and explore what may be going on beneath the surface. From there, I thoughtfully adapt my approach to your individual needs, preferences, and goals. I continue to invest time and effort in staying informed and developing my professional skills. In my work, I also hold the belief that every person deserves understanding and support, and that no concern is too small to seek help for. I also believe that therapy is not about having a perfect life or always knowing what to do. I believe therapy can help us move closer to a life that feels genuinely our own, rather than one shaped primarily by expectations, fears or the roles we have learned to play.
What you can expect from me
I take therapy seriously, but I don't believe therapy has to feel formal or intimidating. I tend to be curious and thoughtful in my work. I will ask questions, sometimes gently challenge the way you see a situation, and help you notice patterns that may be difficult to see on your own. At the same time, I don't see myself as someone who has all the answers. You remain the expert on your own life.
Beyond my professional role
While psychology is a big part of what I do, I also value the ordinary things that make life feel meaningful. I love spending my free time hiking, traveling, or playing board games. I am naturally curious, and I think this curiosity extends beyond psychology. I enjoy learning, exploring different perspectives and having conversations that go a little deeper than small talk.
My approach to clients
I don't think there is something wrong with us simply because we struggle. Often, the things we find difficult have a history behind them. Most of us develop ways of thinking, feeling and behaving for a reason. Sometimes those ways of coping continue to serve us; sometimes they begin to hold us back. For me, therapy is about becoming curious about that history rather than judging ourselves for it. From there, we can begin to understand what we want to keep, what we want to change, and what might be possible instead.
A few things I want you to know
You don't have to know exactly what's wrong before coming to therapy.
You don't have to tell me everything straight away.
You don't have to be good at talking about your feelings.
And you don't have to agree with everything I say.
